Arboreal Slab American Oak Wood Dining Table

A warm, contemporary dining table inspired by the reference image, reinterpreted in solid American Oak wood with a rich walnut finish and all-wood construction. The design balances natural character with clean architectural lines, making it suitable for modern, rustic-luxury, and architectural interiors.

Tabletop Design

• Material: Solid American Oak hardwood (no veneer, no MDF)
• Finish: Hand-rubbed walnut stain with matte or satin oil finish
• Thickness: Thick edge for a bold, premium presence
• Grain orientation: Continuous plank layout to highlight oak grain under walnut tone

Base & Legs Design

• Material: Solid oak legs, walnut-finished to match top
• Leg style (Option of wooden or metal):
  • Rectangular slab legs (inspired by U-frame but crafted fully in wood)
  • Slight inward offset from table edge for visual lightness
• Joinery: Traditional mortise-and-tenon with concealed reinforcement
• Stability: Cross-grain bracing hidden beneath tabletop to allow seasonal wood movement

• Finish & Detailing

• Natural walnut tone enhances oak grain without hiding character
• Matte oil finish for a tactile, natural feel
• Rounded corners for comfort and safety
• Optional wire-brushed texture for deeper grain definition
